Northern Landscapes
Gallery

This gallery contains 5 photos.
I love the high landscape of the north of England, with its dry stone walls, rolling hills and shifting colours. I find watercolour the ideal medium forĀ attempting to capture the subtleties.
Seascapes
I have enjoyed painting the fleeting movements of dancers and trying to convey something of the sound of music as well as the rhythms of dance. Seascapes also offer the opportunity to capture the ever-changing effects of sound, movement and light.

Creative Embroidery
- Modern metallic and hand-dyed vintage silk threads have been used for the stitching. The work is layered and unstretched so that extra light and shade is created in the resulting surface texture.
- “Green Man 1 ” – applique with free machine embroidery. I have tried to give depth to the picture by overlapping transparent fabrics
