I love the high landscape of the north of England, with its dry stone walls, rolling hills and shifting colours. I find watercolour the ideal medium for attempting to capture the subtleties.
Seascapes
I have enjoyed painting the fleeting movements of dancers and trying to convey something of the sound of music as well as the rhythms of dance. Seascapes also offer the opportunity to capture the ever-changing effects of sound, movement and light.

Wool Fabrics
Today I have been sorting through my fabrics and am now trying to decide what to create from these lovely pieces of vintage woven wool.
Creative Embroidery

- Modern metallic and hand-dyed vintage silk threads have been used for the stitching.The work is layered and unstretched so that extra light and shade is created in the resulting surface texture.

- The bags are lined with pretty cotton fabric
